Coyote Underground LLC is seeking an experienced Fiber Splicer to support underground fiber optic network builds throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states.

This role is critical to delivering reliable broadband infrastructure. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in clean splicing, accurate documentation, and maintaining high production standards without compromising quality.

The Fiber Splicer is responsible for preparing, splicing, testing, and documenting fiber optic cables in both underground and aerial environments. This role requires technical expertise, strong troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to safety and quality. 

• Perform single fiber and ribbon splicing
• Prep and splice loose tube and armored fiber cables
• Build and organize splice enclosures and terminals
• Perform OTDR and power meter testing
• Interpret splice matrices and fiber assignments
• Troubleshoot signal loss and continuity issues
• Maintain accurate as-built documentation
• Upload test results and splice documentation into required systems
• Ensure proper fiber handling and protection
• Maintain clean, organized splice trailers and equipment
• Communicate with project management and field crews

• 2+ years fiber splicing experience preferred
• Proficiency with fusion splicers and OTDR equipment
• Ability to read and interpret fiber prints and splice matrices
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with both underground and aerial fiber environments preferred
• Understanding of industry standards and best practices
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Commitment to safety and jobsite professionalism
• Valid driver’s license
   

Experience on large-scale fiber expansion or federally funded broadband projects is a plus.
